Dispatcher / Call Taker - Day Shift

Schedule

Day Shift (10-hour days) Alternating schedule: one week 5 days, next week 6 days One Saturday & one Sunday per month 50-60 hours per week Overtime and holidays as needed
Responsibilities

Answer and manage customer calls with professionalism and urgency Dispatch tow trucks and coordinate driver routes using GPS and dispatch software Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and management Maintain accurate call logs, service records, and data entry Prioritize and manage multiple calls under pressure
Requirements

1+ year of dispatch experience required (towing, trucking, or logistics preferred) Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills Computer proficiency with dispatch or GPS systems Must pass drug screen and background check Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
Preferred:

Bilingual (Spanish/English) Familiarity with Birmingham-area roads
