Job Summary:

Duties:
- Record and update patient medical and dental records
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their vital signs are monitored throughout treatment
- Assist the dentist during procedures, such as taking X-rays and preparing instruments
- Assist Hygienists with X-rays, Sterilization, Charting, etc.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control protocols
- Utilize dental software, including Eaglesoft, to manage patient data and practice operations
- Assist other team members when needed, including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
- Provide general dental hygiene education and oral health advice to patients
- Collaborate with other dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to provide seamless patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Develop a rapport with patients, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance throughout their visit
Skills:
- Knowledge of vital signs and the ability to take them accurately
- Familiarity with X-ray technology and procedures
- Proficiency in medical records management and coding
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Ability to use dental software, including Eaglesoft.
- Background in general dentistry and a commitment to ongoing education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
