Overview

We are seeking a passionate and highly experienced Cosmetology Instructor to join our dynamic educational team. Duties

Deliver comprehensive instruction across a wide range of cosmetology topics including hair styling, hair coloring, nail care, makeup application, and esthetic treatments such as facials and dermabrasion. Conduct hands-on demonstrations of advanced techniques like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair threading, and barbering to ensure students develop practical skills. Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate adult education principles to maximize student engagement and learning outcomes. Assess student progress through practical evaluations and written assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence among students. Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to continuously update course content and teaching methods. Support students in preparing for licensing exams by offering targeted review sessions and mentorship. Collaborate with colleagues to improve program offerings and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience as a professional cosmetologist with expertise in multiple areas such as hair styling, coloring, nail care, makeup application. Demonstrated classroom experience teaching adult learners or aspiring beauty professionals with a strong understanding of effective lesson planning and instructional techniques. Extensive knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology procedures and body treatments to ensure safe practices. Proficiency in advanced cosmetology techniques including, facial treatments, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, hair coloring, and barbering. Familiarity with modern beauty tools and equipment used in professional salons and clinics. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment. Licensure in cosmetology as required by local regulations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop engaging lesson plans tailored for adult learners. Passion for mentoring aspiring professionals and staying updated on industry innovations.
