Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections and accounts receivable, with a keen understanding of financial concepts and excellent negotiation skills. This role is critical in ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Duties

Manage the collection process for outstanding accounts, focusing on collections and accounts receivable. Utilize strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with clients regarding their accounts. Provide exceptional customer service while negotiating payment plans and resolving disputes. Conduct account analysis to identify trends and potential issues in collections. Utilize accounting software for tracking collections and managing accounts receivable. Maintain detailed records of all communications and transactions related to collections. Process NTO's and Leins

Requirements

Proven experience in collections or a similar role within accounts receivable. Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits & credits and account analysis. Proficiency in accounting software relevant to the industry. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally. Familiarity with telemarketing techniques as they relate to collections is a plus. Strong math skills for accurate calculations related to accounts and payments. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
