We are seeking a skilled

Bindery Operator

with hands on experience operating

Stitching and Folding Machines

. This role is essential to our production team. Do you have experience working in a Bindery? Are you mechanically inclined and learn quickly? Are you looking for that next step in your career? Then Peczuh Printing wants you to join our crew! Peczuh Printing (pronounced "PZ" printing) is looking for a full-time Bindery Specialist to start asap!

What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like (Duties and Responsibilities):

Equipment Ownership -

Specialize in setting up and operating a Stitcher, Folder or Cutter. Make minor mechanical adjustments on machine specialty as needed Monitor machine efficiency, constantly scanning for any sign of malfunction Read and thoroughly understand each job order to accurately set-up, operate and manage equipment for each project Correctly log job information into MIS system Ensure that setup specifications align with work orders

Manual Functions -

Crease and compress signatures Fill machine paper feeds Catch and feed equipment Various handwork tasks Assist in other manual functions as needed (punching holes, fastening pages, filling cartons, etc.)

Production Management -

Instruct and operate machinery to perform cut, fold, trim, bind and finish functions Adhere to production schedules and ensure tasks are completed using those schedules as guidelines Perform final product pre-run inspection and obtain final run approval Prepare finished product for shipping Ensure setup specifications align with work orders Carefully inspect each product for defects or imperfections Attentively monitor safety, quality, output and productivity

Other -

Keep equipment and workstation areas clean and free from debris Able to listen, understand and follow instructions via written and verbal communication Carefully follow all safety regulations and procedures as outlined

Requirements:

What You'll Need To Succeed (Required):

At least 1 year of Bindery experience on one of the machines mentioned above Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to stand for extended periods of time Can lift up to 35 lbs

The Environment Looks Like:

This job operates in a production environment, meaning the employee regularly works near moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees in this position may be advised or required to utilize personal protective equipment including but not limited to ear protection, eye protection, lifting equipment and protective smocks.
