Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, painting, and restoration, with the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship. Candidates with dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in auto estimating and customer service are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles, including restorations and repairs, utilizing advanced tools and techniques such as airless paint spraying and buffing.

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and finishing touches using airless spray guns and hand tools Perform auto body repairs including welding, dent removal, and panel replacement Conduct buffing, polishing, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, including auto glass replacement and minor mechanical repairs Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality expectations Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within scheduled timeframes Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing client concerns when necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience as an auto body painter or in auto body repair with dealership background preferred Prior experience with Axalta Brands (preferred not required) Proficiency in auto painting techniques including airless paint spraying and buffing Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software Knowledge of auto glass installation and detailing processes is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members Valid driver's license is preferred for vehicle movement purposes

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
