Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Expeditor and Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that food orders are accurately prepared and delivered to guests in a timely manner. Your ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers will be essential in maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Duties

Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and dining area to ensure timely delivery. Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests. Support banquet service as needed, ensuring all guest needs are met during events. Operate POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for order entry and payment processing. Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment in the kitchen as required.

Skills

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests. Experience with cooking or culinary tasks is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist in the kitchen. Familiarity with banquet service operations is beneficial for event support roles. Customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction is crucial. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A background in hospitality or hotel services can enhance your fit for this role. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
