Your tasks

In this role you will ensure orderly, timely and correct flow of materials on the plant floor to keep plant operations working as efficiently as possible and prevent production line stoppage. Coordinates the transfer of finished materials and products between various production areas and inventory. To perform assigned tasks and functions in accordance with organizational instructions, established safety procedures and ISO standards.

Core Responsibilities

Ensure uninterrupted material flow across all lines and shifts through staging, kitting, and transfer of material. Communicate status of material readiness to all relevant stakeholders.
Support the production efforts to increase to product flow through the plant;
Assembles orders and helps prepare materials and products for shipment;
Use shipping records to verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments and orders;
Ensure all unplanned moves are transacted correctly, whether written or electronically.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly
Perform any other duties as assigned or required;
Packaging of and delivering products to the shipping area for daily (DIA) type orders;
Ensuring accuracy of orders and assisting with order collection and grouping when they arrive on the dock;
Developing, maintaining and continually improving a material flow program to assist in the timely and accurate disposition of finished goods.
Assisting in planning of Kanban levels with material supervisor to ensure products needed are being produced and kept available
Acts as a contact point for scheduling, FAB and other departments as pertains to product availability and preparedness
Other material handling duties as needed and substitution or fill in for vacations and absenteeism of others.
Expeditor categorization will carry other duties as assigned and will require the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment; may require weekend work.

Your profile

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED
1 year Manufacturing Experience
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity skills
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the production processes and flows
Ability to perform detailed work requiring continuous concentration
Ability to certify in forklift operation and other equipment as necessary
Knowledge of operating methods and procedures as they relate to their work center
Demonstrated ability to perform assigned job functions in a manner which will consistently meet quality requirements and production standards
Works safely and keeps work area clear of potential hazards
Deals effectively and cooperatively with established policies and procedures
