Job Description


he Expatriate Administrator will be responsible managing the human resources aspect of international employee placement (Japanese expatriates) which includes new assignments and returning. This key role will be responsible for overseeing Visa procurement, coordination of housing, benefits, and compensation, managing expats related policies/procedures and collaborating with our location in Japan.

  • Manage assignment process for new expats, including pre-assignment communication (introduction for new expat), compensation package, and new assignment acceptance.
  • Manage process for returning expats, including response to return, support for temporary return to home country (Japan).
  • Manage monthly/annual expat payroll, including maintaining personnel data, processing payroll and assisting expats with tax returns, collaborating with International HR and outsourcer in Japan.
  • Manage VISA and Social security procurement process including extensions/renewals.
  • Manage current expat policies, including management of housing system, expat children\'s education system, medical insurance, lease car management as well as managing attendance/leaves.
  • Manage rotation planning process, collaborate with expats to establish goals, oversee evaluation process, promotion, and trainee support.
  • Assist expats with processing expenses and reimbursement.
  • Manage expat labor cost/expense budget.
  • Coordinate travel for business travelers and expat families.
  • Act as primary contact for Japanese Association (The Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Georgia) as well as respond to external surveys as needed.
  • Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 degree and 2-5 years Japanese expatriate administrative experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Must be fully bilingual (Japanese/English).
  • Must have good understanding of Japanese culture to ensure successful transition to new assignment for expat and their family.
  • Must have knowledge of government policies and procedures relating to Japanese expats.
  • Must have experience in Visa procurement process.
  • Must have payroll processing experience
  • Must be detailed and have good organizational skills and have good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of a major HRIS strongly preferred, preferably UKG.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level with Office 365 required.
