Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Exercise Physiologist to join our healthcare team. This role involves developing and implementing personalized exercise programs to improve patient health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in patient assessment, physiology, and medical terminology, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, body mechanics, and functional capacity evaluations Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs, utilizing expertise in anatomy, physiology, and cardiology Monitor patient progress during exercise sessions, adjusting programs as necessary to ensure safety and effectiveness Educate patients on health management strategies, including body mechanics, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching techniques Document patient interactions and progress Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and ensure continuity of patient care Provide patient service with empathy, professionalism, and attention to individual needs within outpatient settings Assist in the training of new staff or interns as needed, fostering a supportive learning environment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field; certification as an Exercise Physiologist preferred Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to outpatient care Experience in patient assessment, and developing personalized exercise or care plans Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and education Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary outpatient team setting Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation environments is a plus
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
