Part-Time / Shift: Days (18 hours weekly:

Wed and Fri from 7a.m to 4:30p.m.)




Coordinates exercise programs including referrals, orientations, scheduling, planning, and supervision to achieve individualized patient goals. Adjusts patients' exercise routines to facilitate meeting goals. Provides education and psychological support, and serves as a role model to patients and families to assist in coping with illness and returning to a healthy lifestyle. Maintains a safe environment for patients and performs accurate assessments of vital signs and general conditions at rest and during exercise. Consults with RNs regarding participants' medications or other clinical measures and provides appropriate responses. Interprets Electrocardiogram (ECG) basic rhythm strips and vital sign measurements and responds appropriately. Communicates patient care information clearly through written and verbal reports, keeping appropriate team members informed of progress and concerns. Documents all communication with physicians or other professionals involved in patient therapy. Maintains professional relationships with participants and ensures confidentiality of employee, patient, administration, and medical staff information. Participates in completing and documenting daily safety checks, equipment checks, and patient education on safe equipment use. Engages in performance improvement activities, supports quality standards, and documents and monitors activities as needed. Utilizes available educational materials, programs, literature, and resource personnel for career development and remains informed of current changes in policy, protocols, and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:




Bachelor's (Required)Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Exercise Physiologist Certified (EPC) - Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range:
