**This is a full time position-must be able to work shifts based on business demands. Availability during the week as well as on weekends and holidays. The Executive Housekeeping Manager will oversee the overall operation and administration of the Housekeeping, Laundry and Main Lodge and its subordinate departments while providing the highest quality of customer service and will protect the assets of the Resort. Essential Job Functions:

  • Working with your direct report and peripheral departments to develop and coordinate the training, hiring, and operational strategies to achieve each area stated goals and objectives.
  • Set and ensure compliance with, standards of quality for all products and services offered by this department and all positions reporting to you.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal requirements, codes, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
  • Consistently show the ability to recognize and deal with priorities, meet deadlines, and recognize strengths and areas that need development.
  • Develop and coordinate purchasing departmental supplies and participate in volume buying decisions.
  • Make out the daily task and duty list for the staff members and make sure all workers are in uniform.
  • Create highest guest satisfaction possible by having complete knowledge of your areas and providing prompt and friendly service.
  • Always be available to answer questions, provide training, give assistance, and monitor staff performance.
  • Make out man hour schedules for work to be performed and conduct staff meetings as necessary.
  • Perform all other duties that may be deemed appropriate by your chain of command above you.
Job Qualifications: Education: Required- High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred- Bachelors Degree in Hospitality or related field Experience: Preferred- 3 years of Management Experience in Related Field. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of all facets of hotel including guest relations, as they apply to Chula Vista Resort, is required. The ability to work with other people effectively in a staff position is important. Must have the ability to think creatively regarding the needs of the resort and solve problems or seize opportunities as they occur. Essential to have the ability to clearly define objectives, knowledge of training methods and procedures, and the ability to implement them. Must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Physical Requirements: Body Positions: Sitting, standing for extended lengths of time. Body Sense: Have full use of eyes and ears, full power of speech. Body Movements: Walking and climbing stairs, turning head and torso, bending arms, wrists, and fingers. Mental Requirements: Mathematics: Must be able to do routine arithmetic calculations necessary for pricing, margins, and costs. Must have the ability to prepare budgets and interpret financial operating statements. Language: Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, well enough to give instructions, relay information, and carry on effective interchange with customers, vendors, and company staff.
