Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable (Executive) Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for executives, clients, and company personnel. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong knowledge of various vehicle types, and the ability to navigate urban and rural routes with professionalism. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and exceptional communication skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers.

Duties

Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including sedans, limousines, box trucks, shuttle buses, and heavy equipment such as dump trucks or tractor-trailers. Transport executives, clients, or staff to designated locations in a timely manner while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Load and unload cargo or luggage using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure optimal operation. Plan routes efficiently considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules; adapt routes as needed for unforeseen circumstances. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, or team members regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit. Assist with warehouse operations or moving tasks as required; operate heavy equipment if certified (e.g., forklift). Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all driving activities.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, delivery driving, or similar roles involving route driving and load & unload tasks. Strong knowledge of various vehicle types including box trucks, limousines, flatbeds, tanker trucks, heavy haul vehicles, school buses, tractor-trailers, and yard jockeys. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and heavy equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks if certified. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members. Familiarity with warehouse operations including moving goods using pallet jacks or forklifts. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type; clean driving record preferred. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as moving cargo or luggage safely and efficiently. Experience with specialized driving roles such as paratransit, heavy equipment operation, freight transport, military vehicles, or tow trucks is advantageous.
