Job Description

Job Summary:

Executive Director will provide consistent presence onsite during business hours and be responsible for daily program needs, meeting case and client needs, and providing support to the Multidisciplinary Team.

Qualified applicants for the Executive Director position who have training and education in either or both of the direct service domains of Forensic Interviewing and Advocacy, are highly encouraged to apply. If fulfilling role of Forensic Interviewer or Advocate, Executive Director will likewise fulfill all Executive Director Responsibilities outlined herein; the weekly distribution would be roughly 30 hours per week fulfilling the responsibilities of the Executive Director and the remaining 10 hours in either direct service domain.

Fingerprint cost reimbursed after hire.

Preferred Additional Attributes



Prior work experience in child welfare, human services, or a related field Specialized technical experience in the following areas: grant writing, application, and management; NCAtrak; VOCA; iRecord; preparing multimedia recordings; maintaining professional social media business account; Microsoft Teams; National Children's Alliance Training and certification in forensic interviewing and/or victim advocacy

Executive Director Responsibilities

Administrative Overview



Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (i.e., statistical, narrative, fiscal) Research and advise Multidisciplinary Team of relevant training opportunities Remain current as to and ensure compliance with National Children's Alliance standards Prepare Executive Director's Report and disseminate in advance of board meetings Annually review, update and disseminate any existing memorandum of understanding and/or linkage agreement Vermont Children's Alliance participation and engagement

Fiscal Overview



Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and financial regulations, including reporting and submission deadlines, allowable spending. Ensure compliance with audits and tax filings Coordinate and work with bookkeeper to prepare financial documents

Center and Professional Development Overview



Facilitate and coordinate monthly Multidisciplinary Team meetings Minimum eight hours of annual training pertaining to child maltreatment Maintain facility supplies and cleanliness of Center Answer phone, greet foot traffic, and speak with visitors

Optional Direct Service Domains

Advocate



Complete victim advocate training required by National Children's Alliance Presence during every forensic interview Ongoing assessment of needs Assist in procuring necessary services, including specialized treatment referrals Provide crisis assessment and intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning Provide education and assistance for victims' rights and compensation Participate in monthly Case Review Share case updates with the family from investigative and legal proceedings Routinely meet with other advocates and service providers to exchange information Annual training specific to domain Engage in monthly supervision and/or peer groups

Forensic Interviewer



Complete a National Children's Alliance approved forensic interview training Consistently follow National Child Advocacy Center and Caledonia Children's Advocacy Center protocols Assist in preparation for, and attend monthly Case Review meetings Provide court preparation and/or testimony when requested by Multidisciplinary Team Routinely share advice, feedback, learning and resources with Multidisciplinary Team related to forensic interviewing Annual training specific to domain Engage in monthly supervision and/or peer groups

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
