Position Summary



The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive of CASA of Jackson and Josephine Counties, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction across all aspects of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for leading a high-performing team, overseeing two-county operations, driving sustainable fundraising and development efforts, ensuring regulatory and CASA National/State network compliance, and cultivating strong community partnerships to amplify the impact of CASA's work.

Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Organizational Management



Lead strategic planning, policy development, and organizational vision. Supervise and mentor department directors and administrative staff. Maintain compliance with local, state, and national CASA standards. Foster an inclusive and collaborative organizational culture rooted in equity.

Board Governance



Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, supporting board development, engagement, and governance practices. Prepare reports and materials for monthly board and committee meetings. Coordinate annual board retreats, trainings, and strategic planning.

Program Oversight & Human Resources



Ensure high-quality CASA program delivery across Jackson and Josephine Counties. Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development of staff. Promote a safe, ethical, and supportive work environment. Manage volunteer relationships, including discipline or dismissal when necessary.

Financial Management



Develop and manage the annual budget (1.2 to 1.4 million) in collaboration with the Finance Committee. Monitor grants and contract compliance, and oversee monthly financial reporting. Lead all aspects of fiscal management, including audits, payables/receivables, payroll, and compliance.

Development & Fundraising



Oversee fundraising strategy including grants, donor development, campaigns, and events. Write and manage grants in collaboration with development staff and grant contractors. Build relationships with donors, legislators, foundations, and partners.

Community Engagement & Advocacy



Represent CASA at key local and statewide meetings and coalitions. Foster strategic partnerships with courts, child welfare agencies, schools, legislators, and nonprofits. Serve as the face of CASA in the media, with elected officials, and throughout the community.

Marketing & Public Relations



Supervise the creation and implementation of outreach and recruitment campaigns. Oversee the production of newsletters, social media content, and promotional materials. Collaborate with the Board and Media & Development Manager to strengthen CASA's public presence.

Data, Evaluation, & Planning



Use data and evaluation tools to measure impact, guide strategic decisions, and report outcomes to funders. Lead and revise the agency's strategic plan in partnership with the Board. Forecast growth, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications



Deep commitment to CASA's mission and values, including Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Five years leadership experience in executive or senior-level roles. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, small to mid-sized team management, foundation grants and event fundraising oversight in the area of $900,000, and financial oversight. Strong HR and team-building background; experience managing multi-county operations is a plus. Knowledge of grant writing/reporting, program evaluation, and legal compliance. Exceptional communication skills: public speaking, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and technologically proficient (Microsoft 365 Suite). Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse stakeholders. Experience with or knowledge of the child welfare and court systems preferred. Must pass a criminal and ODHS background check.

Preferred Qualifications



Experience working in or with CASA programs. Master's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
