The Faulkner County Council on Aging, Inc. is seeking a dedicated
Executive Director
for a full-time, salaried position. We are looking for an experienced leader driven by a passion for seniors. Job description:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervise staff, volunteers, and program operations
Hire and train new employees.
Responsible for annual staff and program evaluations.
Promote staff and volunteer development.
Implement policies and procedures outlined in Bylaws and Personnel Policies.
Develop, implement, and interpret sound personnel practices.
Ensure that all records/information for assessments are complete and current
Coordinate with other service provider agencies to maximize service delivery.
Create and maintain good relations with the public, civic groups, and state and local agencies.
Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including partners, funders, community leaders, and board members, to advance organizational priorities.
Attend and participate in Faulkner County Council on Aging, Inc. board meetings, CareLink provider meetings, state and local conferences, workshops, and training seminars programs.
Review and authorize the disbursement of all funds.
Prepare accident reports for clients and employees and report accidents to insurance companies as required.
Oversee federal work programs and submit required paperwork to CareLink, Experience Works, etc.
Ensure that required employees are properly drug-tested at appropriate times and that records are maintained.
Attend the annual Arkansas Transit Association training.
Apply for grants as needed.
Collaborate with the Fiscal Administrator in preparing annual contracts for services and grant applications.
Maintain records and billing for AR Choices meals provided to Medicaid clients.
Approve and coordinate menus, and schedules and plan activities at the senior center. Prepare monthly activities calendar, menus, and calendars for all centers.
Maintain records for monthly reports and outreach files.
Plan, organize, and execute at least two major fundraising events annually with the help of the staff and board of directors.
Assist the other centers with annual fundraisers.
Oversee maintenance and needed renovations of buildings and equipment at all centers.
Advocate for senior citizens, assisting them with needs such as paying bills, SNAP applications, Medicaid applications, housing applications, etc. If unable to help them directly, refer them to an appropriate agency that can, and follow up to make sure they were supported.
Be courteous, cooperative, and team-oriented.
Other duties as directed by the Board.
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Experience in the human services or public health field
Excellent organizational skills
Experience in office administration, budget administration, and computer use is desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift to forty (40) lbs.
Willingness to submit to the following:
AR Department of Motor Vehicles check
Criminal background check
Pre-employment drug test and periodic random drug testing
Annual Department of Transportation-compliant medical exam
Annual Defensive Driving course
*Preference will be given to applicants with a commercial driver's license, food services experience, and experience working with senior citizens.
Salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
