Position Overview
The Adelante Leadership Institute (ALI) -- a flagship program of the Colorado Springs Hispanic Chamber Education Foundation -- is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead the continued growth and impact of this premier leadership development program.
This role is ideal for an innovative and relationship-driven leader passionate about advancing diverse leaders across Southern Colorado. The Executive Director will oversee curriculum design, fellow recruitment, fundraising, community engagement, and fellow placement on nonprofit boards and public commissions.
Key Responsibilities
PROGRAM & CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Lead the design and ongoing enhancement of a culturally relevant, high-impact leadership curriculum.
Ensure programming aligns with best practices in leadership education and reflects evolving community needs.
Integrate experiential learning, guest speakers, and cross-sector partnerships to enrich fellow experiences.
FELLOW RECRUITMENT, ENGAGEMENT & PLACEMENT
Recruit, select, and onboard annual cohorts of diverse fellows.
Facilitate leadership sessions, workshops, and retreats with professionalism and authenticity.
Build strong relationships with fellows, alumni, and community partners.
Leverage networks to place fellows on nonprofit boards and public commissions.
Support alumni engagement and continuous leadership development.
FUNDRAISING & DEVELOPMENT
Lead all fundraising initiatives, including sponsorship cultivation, grant writing, and donor engagement.
Strengthen relationships with corporate, foundation, and individual supporters.
Collaborate with the Chamber Education Foundation on special events and fundraising campaigns.
ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Manage daily operations, program budgets, and reporting in coordination with the Education Foundation.
Represent ALI at community events, conferences, and leadership forums.
Collaborate with the Chamber's staff and board to ensure alignment with the Foundation's mission and goals.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in leadership, education, nonprofit management, business administration, or related field.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, program facilitation, or adult learning.
Proven success in fundraising, donor cultivation, or grant management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public-speaking skills.
Strong network within the Colorado Springs community with the ability to place fellows in leadership positions.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
PREFERRED
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience working with chambers of commerce, nonprofits, or leadership institutes.
Familiarity with the Latino community and a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred.

Compensation & Schedule
Salary: $45,000 annually
Type: Part-Time, Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible and primarily remote, with occasional evening and weekend commitments for fellow sessions and events.
