Currently, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Utility/Grading Equipment Operator. Metro Union Wages and benefits are offered to all qualified applicants.

You will work with a JL Theis crew daily on State, County, or City infrastructure improvement projects. Our work is generally small to medium-sized projects. Our typical projects range from parks, trails, and street improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

2-5 years of plan reading experience Ability to follow grade stakes and use various laser levels 3-5 years heavy equipment operation including large excavators 3-5 years storm, water, sewer pipe & connection experience OSHA 30 certification 2-5 years trench & excavation experience 2-5 years trail, road, parking lot grading experience 2-5 years concrete demo experience Ability to follow company safety procedures Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and physical
Benefits:

Monday-Friday with overtime each day, minimal Saturday work Holidays off Work is primarily in the Twin Cities Metro area No long-distance travel, home each night Benefits provided by the applicant's union affiliation (Operators Local 49): health, dental, vision, pension, training Overtime pay Pay rate up to $48.00/hour + union benefits depending on experience.
