Portables Event Lead

The Event Lead plays a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of field-based sales events across the Portables footprint. This individual will serve as the lead liaison between Portables and AT&T Event teams to drive activation volume, brand visibility, and field sales performance.

This role blends operational execution, leadership, and frontline selling. The Event Lead is responsible for generating sales, training store leadership and reps on event strategies, and ensuring every event is staffed, executed, and measured with precision.

Core Responsibilities



Source and evaluate regional events with sales potential (fairs, expos, community events) Maintain and manage an active calendar of scheduled and proposed events Partner with AT&T Event Leads to align on planning, branding, staffing, and execution Source and evaluate regional events with sales potential (fairs, expos, community events) Develop staffing plans and coordinate with store leaders to secure coverage Lead on-site setup, teardown, sales execution, and customer engagement Ensure all required sales, compliance, and brand standards are met at each event Track and report sales using the correct AT&T Event Code Actively sell during events, setting the pace and expectations for team performance Utilize approved systems, promotions, and pitch flows Monitor and manage event-level KPIs including quota achievement, staffing accuracy, and activation quality Conduct field coaching and regional workshops to improve results and consistency Identify high-performing event staff or community candidates for potential employment Forward leads to the Recruiting team and help onboard field-ready candidates Train Portables Managers and Sales Reps on how to: Source quality events

Requirements



Minimum two years in sales, event management, or retail leadership Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals in high-traffic or event settings Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills Self-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing environments Must be available for evening, weekend, and multi-day events Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Consistent and punctual attendance. Work a minimum of 5 days a week (40 hours) as an exempt employee. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and analyze sales and commission reports. Train, motivate, and inspire a team to achieve maximum results. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to stand, walk or otherwise be mobile on the sales and event floor for hours at a time. Ability to lift at least 10 pounds.

Eligible for up to $1,500 monthly in performance-based event bonus Bonus is tied to percentage of event sales quota achieved for the region
