About the Role



We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Event Coordinator to manage and execute catered events from initial inquiry through event completion. This role is ideal for someone who excels at communication, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building client relationships. In addition to coordination duties, this position includes a sales component, offering commission opportunities for securing new bookings and increasing event revenue.

Key Responsibilities



Event Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for clients planning catered events. Conduct client consultations to determine event needs, preferences, and budgets. Create detailed event proposals, timelines, floor plans, and menus. Coordinate with internal teams (kitchen, operations, service staff) to ensure seamless event execution. Oversee event setup, on-site operations, and post-event breakdown as needed. Handle event-related administrative tasks such as contracts, billing, and vendor communications. Maintain accurate records of event details, client communication, and changes.

Sales & Business Development



Respond to inbound leads and convert inquiries into booked events. Proactively identify opportunities to upsell services, enhancements, or upgraded menu packages. Build relationships with local businesses, venues, and community partners to generate referrals. Participate in tasting events, open houses, and promotional activities. Track sales metrics and meet or exceed monthly/quarterly booking goals.

Qualifications



1-3 years of experience in event planning, catering, hospitality, or related sales roles preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage multiple events at various stages. Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and event hours as needed. Proficiency in event management or CRM software is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
