The Evening Group Facilitator plays a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals in the outpatient environment. This position involves leading group sessions, fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere, and promoting personal growth among participants. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with diagnosed mental health issues and substance abuse.
Duties
Facilitate group sessions focused on recovery, personal development, coping strategies, and skill-building.
Create and maintain a supportive environment that encourages open communication and participation.
Develop session plans that address the specific needs of participants.
Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Monitor group dynamics and provide individual support as needed.
Maintain accurate records of group activities and participant progress.
Stay informed about best practices in counseling and therapeutic techniques relevant to group facilitation.
Skills
Experience in outpatient settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of working with individuals with mental health concerns.
Understanding of ICD-10 coding for documentation purposes.
Proficiency in patient care practices and counseling techniques.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate discussions effectively.
Ability to foster a collaborative team environment while maintaining professionalism.
