HR Generalist Estimator/Project Manager

(Heavy Civil)

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare time, material, equipment, production and labor estimates.
• Prepare preliminary estimates for planning purposes and detailed estimates based on final plans and specifications.
• Consult with clients, vendors and others to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Maintain current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written proposals.
• Prepare bid packages, estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids for projects of any size and complexity.
• Physically measure, assess the condition, and formalize estimates for commercial projects.
• Manage projects awarded from scheduling, resource allocation, cost projections, and billing.

Requirements

• Must have a thorough knowledge of heavy civil construction estimating skills and techniques including knowledge of asphalt paving, dirt work, excavation, underground utilities, and related areas; 3-5 years preferred.
• Candidates with heavy civil experience that is closely related to estimating and/or project management may be considered; however, preference will be given to those with experience estimating heavy civil projects.
• Basic familiarity with estimating software; Bid2Win preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret heavy civil blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficient with PC & Microsoft Office systems, specifically Excel and Word.
• Strong customer service, leadership, problem-solving, decision making and organization skills.

Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000
