We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager, or an entry level candidate with basic knowledge to join our construction team. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing project execution, and ensuring successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction estimating expertise, project management skills, and experience with contract negotiations. This position offers an opportunity to lead complex projects, collaborate with clients and subcontractors, and contribute to the growth of our organization.
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive construction estimates using planswift, and other estimating software
Prepare detailed cost proposals by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements
Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms
Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery
Monitor project progress, control costs, and implement corrective actions as needed for cost control
Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards
Coordinate with construction site teams to facilitate smooth project execution
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates on project status
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction industry
Proficiency in planswift, spreadsheets, procore, and construction management software tools
Strong negotiation skills for contracts and pricing discussions
In-depth knowledge of construction site operations and safety protocols
Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents accurately
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in cost control and scheduling
Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Construction site experience is highly preferred
self motivating and able to work with others or solo on projects.
able to drive materials on a trailer to job sites, travel to jobs, attend meetings, throughout oregon and washington as needed.
manlift or gradall experience is well received too
