Job Description
Estimator role with a leading commercial GC, responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for ground-up and renovation projects. Collaborates with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate bids that align with project goals.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects (ground-up and renovations)
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to assess scope and requirements
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors
- Collaborate with the preconstruction and project management teams to develop bid strategies
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis using estimating software
- Participate in value engineering and cost-saving proposals
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
- Track historical cost data to inform future estimates and improve accuracy
- Assist in preparing bid packages and presenting estimates to clients or executives
