Job Description

The Estimator role offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in the preconstruction process, ensuring projects are accurately scoped, budgeted, and prepared for successful delivery. Core responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and supporting strategic decisions to keep projects on track and within budget.

  • Prepare Detailed Cost Estimates: Develop accurate and comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects, including material, labor, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze Project Plans & Specifications: Review drawings, scope documents, and technical requirements to ensure precise takeoffs and cost projections.
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction & Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align budgets with project goals and timelines.
  • Evaluate Bids & Vendor Proposals: Solicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain Cost Control & Documentation: Track estimate revisions, maintain detailed records, and provide clear reporting to support decision-making throughout the preconstruction phase.
  • Support Strategic Planning: Identify cost-saving opportunities, assess risks, and contribute to value engineering initiatives to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
