The Gund Company is seeking a full time, first shift, Estimator, Check it out!!

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Starting salary: $60,000++

Plant location: Cedar Lake, Indiana - right outside of Chicago!

We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering).

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Estimate the cost of a job to accurately produce quotes for our customers.
• Participate in the \xe2\x80\x98after\' Quote process (After Action Review \xe2\x80\x93 AAR).
• Requires knowledge of a vertical milling machine (CNC).
• An expert in the product line, production capabilities, and cost structure related to our customer\'s requirements.
• Work within company\'s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to search and review data,
• Engaged in continuous improvement of processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while still meeting deadlines.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• 3+ years\' experience reading mechanical blueprints or engineering drawings, required.
• 3+ years\' knowledge of CNC vertical milling machine, required.
• 3+ years\' experience with custom manufacturing quoting processes, preferred.
• Technical associate Degree and relative certifications, preferred.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookup tables, and datalinks, preferred.
• Experience with MS Office and ERP software, preferred.
• Experience in low volume, high variety manufacturing, preferred.
