GOAL High School is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Purpose: To provide administrative support to the ESS leadership team and 4 programs under the ESS umbrella through a variety of communication and clerical-related functions.

The Exceptional Student Services Administrative Assistant will provide outstanding customer service:
Ability to foster caring, supportive, and personalized service to internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality in all areas related to staff and students in communication and record keeping duties.
Maintain a working knowledge of programs and services available and be able to communicate that information to internal and external stakeholders.
Specific Duties of the ESS AA:
Enrollment and Transfer Duties:
Ability to utilize marketing materials effectively to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in the student enrollment process as outlined in each department below.
Special Education: Assist the Director of ESS and the ESS Coordinator in clerical duties, including but not limited to:
Complete Records Request processes for students enrolling with GOAL who report having an Individual Education Program (IEP).
This occurs year-round.
Maintain organized documentation of student enrollment paperwork for the Special Education program at GOAL.
Complete all requests from GOAL's registrar for IEPs.
Participate in the transfer process for students who have an IEP.
Assist the ESS Coordinator and Caseload Management TOSA with state testing accommodations requests.
Gifted Education and Section 504: Assist the Gifted Education & 504 Specialist with the following duties, including but not limited to:
Complete Records Request processes for students enrolling with GOAL who report having a Section 504 Plan or Advanced Learning Plan (ALP).
This occurs year-round.
Maintain organized documentation of student enrollment paperwork for the Gifted Education and Section 504 programs at GOAL.
Complete all requests from GOAL's registrar for 504's and ALPs.
Participate in the transfer process for students who have an ALP or 504 Plan.
Assist the ESS Coordinator and GE & 504 Specialists with state testing accommodations requests.
File 504, ALP, and all supporting documentation into the appropriate database.
Maintain accurate tracking of referrals for 504's and ALPs as directed by the specialists.
Make follow-up phone calls to students or parents as directed by the specialists.
Attend a weekly staff meeting with the specialists for the benefit of the department.
School Health: Assist the school nurses with the following duties, including but not limited to:
Assist with CPR/First Aid administrative tasks when needed.
Transmit communication to the state and other stakeholders about pandemic-related updates.
Help with administrative tasks of immunization reporting.
Develop and maintain a communication process and provide vision and hearing referral letters to families as needed.
Perform other tasks and assume such responsibilities as the Director of ESS or the ESS Coordinator may from time-to-time assign.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must reside in Colorado
Must have a valid driver's license
Education:
High School Diploma required
Associates degree in a business-related discipline preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of one year in a clerical position is required.
A minimum of one year in an education-related position is required.
A minimum of one year in a virtual position is required.
A minimum of one year in a technological position is required.
Experience in a high school setting preferred.
Experience with special populations preferred.
