Job Description

Organize and manage the high school Esports team(s), including tryouts, practices, and competitions. Supervise all Esports practices, scrimmages, and tournaments--both in-person and online. Teach players strategy, teamwork, critical thinking, and responsible gaming habits. Maintain a culture of respect, sportsmanship, and digital citizenship among players. Monitor student eligibility, academic progress, and behavior to ensure compliance with school and district standards. Coordinate schedules and participation in state and national leagues (e.g., OHSAA, Esports Ohio, or other governing bodies). Manage communication with parents, players, administrators, and league officials. Oversee the setup, care, and security of gaming equipment and facilities. Support recruitment and outreach to promote program participation and inclusivity. Ensure compliance with all district, league, and safety guidelines for student activities. Collaborate with technology staff to maintain gaming systems, networks, and hardware. * Foster student leadership and opportunities for career and technical skill development in gaming, streaming, and digital media.
