Preferred professional educator employed by the Marshall County Board of Education at Cameron High. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Esports culture, gameplay mechanics, team strategy, and digital literacy. This position involves coaching students, fostering teamwork, teaching gaming ethics, and helping them develop technical and interpersonal skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Act as club advisor organizing fund raising, activities, field trips, etc.
+ Maintain an active and effective eSports program that promotes good sportsmanship and student development through participation in practices, activities, and competitions.
+ Manage all aspects of the eSports teams and players; including the eSports rosters, in-game names, and accounts.
+ Oversee all practices and matches held by team members ensuring game integrity and player safety.
+ Setup and coordinate live matches between area schools.
+ Provide key input into the selection of games and tournaments in which the team will participate.
+ Oversee player eligibility for tournament participation.
+ Assist in the process of cleaning, repairing, inventorying, storing, and replacing all equipment.
+ Assisting with team travel when necessary.
+ Troubleshoot technical issues that arise.
+ Recruiting and retaining students for the Esports program.
+ Coordinate with the WVSEL (WV Scholastic Esports League) to promote eSports in WV, and when necessary, the WVSSAC.
+ Attend competitions and/or conferences, etc.
+ Complete advisor records as required by the county office.
+ Other duties as assigned by the principal.
