Kansas Secured Title is part of Title Midwest, Inc., a Topeka, Kansas, based title insurance and real estate escrow holding company, with subsidiary title insurance agencies in Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Texas. As part of this larger network, Kansas Secured Title is supported by industry experts located across the Midwest. We have an open position in our Oskaloosa, Kansas location.

Responsibilities of the Closing Officer position are as follows:

Provide exceptional

customer service

and represent the company with professionalism and integrity. Collaborate with team members to support a

positive and efficient office environment

.

Identify and resolve title or closing issues

proactively before closing. Stay current on

industry regulations and company policies

to ensure compliance.

Prepare, review and present

settlement statements, deeds, affidavits, and loan packages.

Balance and disburse funds

according to settlement statements and company policy. Ensure all documents are

executed, recorded, and disbursed

properly and on time. Manage the

entire escrow process

from opening to post-closing with accuracy and efficiency.

Communicate clearly

with buyers, sellers, realtors, and lenders to coordinate all aspects of the closing.
Helpful Work Experience/Skills/Education includes:

Professional demeanor with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and compliance. Strong understanding of

real estate contracts

,

settlement statements

, and

title commitments

. Ability to

analyze closing documents

and identify potential issues before closing. Excellent

attention to detail

and ability to manage multiple files accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with

state and local real estate laws and regulations

(Kansas experience preferred). Demonstrated ability to

work independently and as part of a team

in a fast-paced environment. Strong

communication and customer service

skills for interacting with lenders, realtors, and customers.

Notary Public commission

(or ability to obtain one). Proven ability to

stay calm and effective under pressure

and handle

high-stress situations

professionally.
Willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
