Arcade & Laser Tag Equipment Technician
Location: Norman, OK
Starting at: $17.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Equipment Technician to maintain the "heart" of our entertainment center. You will be responsible for the uptime, safety, and performance of our arcade games, redemption center, and laser tag arena. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who enjoys tinkering with electronics and can pivot from repairing a joystick to troubleshooting a wireless laser tag network.
Our Core Values: The Ideal Team Player
We hire for character and train for skill. To be successful here, you must be:
Hungry: You have a strong work ethic and are self-motivated. You don't wait to be told what to do; you look for the next broken game or the next process that can be improved.
Humble: You lack excessive ego. You are quick to credit others and slow to seek attention for yourself. You are a team player who is willing to help wherever the business needs it most.
Smart (People Smart): You have common sense about people. You understand how your words and actions impact your teammates and our guests, and you communicate technical issues clearly and kindly.
Key Responsibilities
Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily inspections to ensure all games and laser tag vests are fully functional before opening.
Electronics Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with PC-based games, monitors, motors, sensors, solenoids, and power supplies.
Laser Tag Specialist: Maintain, clean, and repair laser tag vests and phasers; troubleshoot arena sensors and base stations.
Mechanical Fixes: Repair and maintain moving parts in redemption games (e.g., Skee-Ball, claw machines, and coin pushers).
Soldering & Wiring: Perform precision soldering and low-voltage wiring repairs on sensitive components.
Required Qualifications
Technical Aptitude: 1-3 years of experience in electronics repair, field service, or a similar technical role (HVAC, Auto Electric, or IT).
Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to read schematics and use a multimeter to diagnose electrical faults.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in the unique environments of an arcade and laser tag arena.
Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends or "before-open" shifts for major repairs.
Required Technical Skills
Component-Level Troubleshooting: Ability to use a Digital Multimeter (DMM) to check voltages, continuity, and resistance on various game components.
Soldering Proficiency: Skilled in through-hole and basic surface-mount soldering for repairing button microswitches, harness connectors, and damaged PCBs.
Low-Voltage Electrical: Understanding DC power supplies ($5V$, $12V$, $24V$) and the ability to troubleshoot wiring harnesses and grounding issues.
PC & Networking Basics: Experience with Windows-based PC hardware, BIOS settings, and basic Ethernet networking (IP addresses, CAT5/6 cabling) for linked games and laser tag servers.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using hand and power tools to repair ticket dispensers, coin mechs, gear motors, and pneumatic systems.
Schematic Literacy: Ability to read and interpret manufacturer wiring diagrams and manuals to locate faults within a system.

Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
