Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and construction equipment on active job sites. This role involves safely and efficiently handling equipment such as dozers, loaders, and excavators to support diverse construction projects. Candidates with mechanical knowledge and a background in construction site operations will excel in this position. Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators. Safely maneuver construction machinery on various sites while adhering to safety protocols Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites as needed

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, and excavators Construction site experience preferred Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is highly desirable Ability to operate specialized equipment such as concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor environments for extended periods

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
