About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Technician to maintain and repair our advanced can-making machinery. In this role, you will diagnose equipment malfunctions, perform preventative maintenance, and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency. Your expertise in mechanical systems and precision measuring tools will be essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to maintain optimal production line performance. Conduct regular maintenance checks and services on industrial machinery, replacing worn parts and making necessary adjustments. Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure components meet strict tolerance requirements. Monitor product quality and production rates, identifying and resolving issues to maximize efficiency. Interpret mechanical manuals and diagrams to effectively troubleshoot and repair complex components. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to move materials and perform maintenance tasks. Propose and implement improvements to enhance safety, quality, cost control, and overall productivity.

Required Skills

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial can lines, including quality checks and documentation. Experience with equipment troubleshooting, motor replacement/repair, and general maintenance.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with wrapping machines, gear machinery, and conveyor systems. * Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
