POSITION INFORMATION

Title: Environmental Technician
Reports to: Site Supervisor
Location: Saint Paul Minnesota
Pay Range and Basis of Pay: Hourly paid weekly (non-exempt); starting at $21 per hour
Anticipated scheduled hours per week: 32-40

HOW YOU\xe2\x80\x99D SUPPORT BAY WEST

• Accept, document, sort, package and arrange for the disposal of household hazardous waste products
• Greet and interact with clients to determine their needs and answer questions
• Communicate effectively with internal & external clients, in a courteous and professional manner
• Assists with Emergency Response (ER) activities including determining ER equipment needs, loading ER equipment, and performing clean-up activities
• Assists with industrial services projects as needed
• Tuesday through Saturday work schedule

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma or GED or 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver\'s license; Commercial Driver\'s License Class B or A helpful
• Active 40-hour HAZWOPER Certificate helpful
• Basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Office products, communicating through email, etc.
• Ability to work outside in any condition which can include high heat, high humidity and extreme cold
• Position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, bending, and grasping
