Position Summary:




The Environmental Services Director is responsible for overseeing the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the facility. This position manages the housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure that all resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces are clean, sanitary, and comfortable. The Director ensures compliance with state, federal, and infection control regulations and promotes a positive, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Plan, organize, and direct all environmental services (housekeeping and laundry) operations. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise housekeeping and laundry staff. Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety. Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies; prepare and manage the department budget. Develop and implement cleaning schedules, deep-cleaning routines, and infection control procedures. Coordinate with Maintenance and Nursing departments to address environmental concerns and infection control needs. Oversee laundry operations, ensuring proper handling and labeling of residents' personal items. Maintain records of inspections, safety checks, and in-services. Promote teamwork and communication between environmental services and other facility departments.
