Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Cleaner to join our team. The environmental services role is essential in ensuring our classrooms, therapy rooms, offices, and shared spaces remain hygienic, safe, and comfortable. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values consistency, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a childcare and therapeutic setting.

Our top priority is the health and safety of the children in our care. Our janitorial staff are integral to the success of the childcare center by managing the organization and cleanliness that enables children to learn and grow in their environment.

How you will do it:

Keep things fresh!

Help maintain a clean, safe and orderly building by completing janitorial tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, servicing restrooms, and removing trash.

Keep things working!

Help ensure the building runs smoothly by maintaining restrooms, replenishing supplies, and completing small upkeep tasks as needed.

Keep things ready!

Support staff by preparing and resetting spaces for daily use, events, and activities, ensuring rooms and common areas stay organized and welcoming.

Specific duties include but not limited to:

Maintain interior cleanliness

, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash across all assigned areas

Clean and sanitize

restrooms, windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and other high-touch areas

Deep-clean surfaces and flooring

as needed, including steam-cleaning or shampooing carpets and removing stains, dirt, fingerprints, or water damage

Restock supplies

such as restroom products and cleaning materials

Inspect facilities

--walls, ceilings, flooring, and common areas--for damage, cleanliness, or needed repairs

Uphold the highest standards

of guest service, presentation, and health and safety

Qualifications

Proven janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in healthcare or educational settings. Knowledge of OSHA standards related to cleaning and sanitation. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and knowledge of cleaning techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
