Job Description


Loureiro Engineering has an immediate opening for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Apex, North Carolina.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advisor on projects and other business unit related issues in order to maintain Environmental Compliance standards;
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multi-disciplined projects in EHS programs such as: Air Permitting, Water/Wastewater Support & Compliance, Chemical Inventory & Release Reporting, Stormwater Collection, Emission Calculations, SPCC, SWPPP;
  • Have a thorough understanding of and be familiar with federal, state, and local regulations: CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, ISPCC, OSHA, DEP;
  • Verify EHS compliance standards are met or exceeded within General Industry applications;
  • Visit job sites to conduct safety audits as well as regulatory inspections/audits for clients in General Industry
  • Research environmental regulations and policies and institute changes to ensure compliance;
  • Selected candidate should be self-directed, interested in working as a team, capable of developing and cultivating client relationships, and exhibit enthusiasm in moving ahead in their career;
  • Perform administrative activities such as completing reports, conducting basic emission calculations and field sampling;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required;
  • 3+ years of experience in Environmental Compliance or EHS required;
  • Prior consulting experience required;
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards with regard to General Industry;
  • Ability to train, influence, and motivate team members;
  • Ability to travel to job sites;
  • Must have valid driver\'s license;
  • Adhere to safety procedures/guidelines at all times;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and observation ability;
  • Proficient in both work field and administrative work (50% field / 50% administrative)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlooks.
