Entry Level Baker (Seasonal / Part-Time)

Position Summary

We're looking for a passionate entry level

Baker

to join our team for the holiday season. The ideal candidate will have have basic knowledge of measuring, using a scale, gathering ingredients and a strong work ethic, and a love for creating high-quality baked goods. You'll assist in the daily production of pastries, breads, and desserts, supporting the head baker in maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts using

French baking and pastry techniques

. Accurately scale, mix, proof, and bake doughs, batters, and laminated doughs. Make creams, custards, glazes, ganache, and other fillings. Assist with assembling and finishing pastries and specialty desserts. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper sanitation in all work areas. Label, rotate, and store ingredients and products correctly. Assist with setup, prep, and cleanup of the bakery each day. Work collaboratively with the team to meet production goals and deadlines. Ensure all products meet the bakery's quality and presentation standards. This position will require to be a back up cashier, a dishwasher and counter service. during down time we will prep and bake.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of baking fundamentals, ingredient functions, and recipe accuracy. Reliable, detail-oriented, and efficient under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Early morning or late nights, must work weekends, and holiday availability required. you must take a Food Handlers Course for safety of the customers and health department requirements. Must be 18 years or older for this position.
