The Enterprise Architecture Leader is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise-wide capabilities aligned with the organization's corporate strategy and domain-specific architecture requirements. This role contributes to long-term enterprise strategy, transformation initiatives, and the continuous evolution of architectural practices.
Key Responsibilities
Strategize

  • Enrich the enterprise vision by defining target capabilities, supporting principles, policies, and current-state assessments across all enterprise architecture (EA) domains.
  • Establish guiding principles and governance policies for interactions with suppliers, partners, and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Define how enterprise capabilities align with domain-specific capabilities to ensure cohesion and strategic continuity.
Lead
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate new ideas, projects, technologies, and business models that impact multiple EA domains.
  • Develop and mature the EA function, ensuring the availability of appropriate resources, skills, and talent.
  • Support the Chief Architect in measuring, communicating, and demonstrating EA impact and effectiveness.
  • Define organizational requirements for financial, skills-based, and process-oriented resources, as well as cultural and structural changes needed to sustain EA initiatives.
  • Oversee EA implementation across domains and guide continuous refinement activities.
Architect
  • Champion innovation by shifting the architectural mindset from technology-driven to business-outcome-driven.
  • Assess the current IT landscape to identify deficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee documentation related to architectural design, analysis, and standards.
  • Lead the evaluation of software and hardware standards.
  • Advise application and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, and recommend architectural modifications when necessary.
Govern
  • Contribute to the development and execution of governance principles that drive data, technology, and solution-level decision-making.
  • Support EA governance structures, including compliance activities, exception handling, and escalation management.
  • Serve as a key decision-making authority across EA domains.
  • Advise delivery teams on critical architectural decisions and areas of significant impact.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Deep understanding of how architecture domains integrate to form a cohesive enterprise architecture.
  • Strong strategic planning capabilities with a consulting mindset, including expertise in architecture modeling and technology forecasting.
  • Design-thinking mindset, able to translate ideas into holistic enterprise views that bridge business intention and execution.
  • Advanced analytical skills including pattern recognition, abstraction, logical reasoning, and systems-level thinking.
  • Soft skills that support influence and change, including negotiation, persuasion, conflict resolution, and relationship-building.
  • Broad knowledge of business principles, organizational dynamics, change management techniques, and economic and technology trends.
  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to teach, mentor, manage complexity, and navigate organizational politics effectively.
