Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Enterprise Architect to lead modernization, integration, and cloud transformation initiatives across enterprise systems. The role will focus on modernizing legacy systems, designing secure Azure-based solutions, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain enterprise reference architectures and standards.

• Lead modernization planning and transition of legacy systems to cloud-native or hybrid architectures.

• Architect integrations with Salesforce, Appian, and Microsoft Azure platforms.

• Design secure, scalable cloud solutions compliant with state and federal security frameworks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT architecture with business and citizen service goals.

• Define and promote data interoperability and architecture governance.

• Provide technical guidance and solution oversight for development teams.

• Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT and 6+ years of professional IT experience OR 10+ years of relevant IT experience.

• Proven expertise in:

• Application development and modernization

• Enterprise architecture & technology standards

• API design & secure integrations

• Cloud architecture (preferably Azure)

• Technology roadmaps & business alignment

• Translating technical concepts for diverse stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: TOGAF 9.x, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Salesforce Certified Application Architect

• Experience in state or federal government projects

• Familiarity with low-code platforms (Appian), Salesforce, or geospatial/regulatory systems
