The One Stop Enrollment Specialist position is the primary and initial point of contact for new and continuing students at CSI, and is responsible for assisting students in the admissions and advising enrollment processes, financial aid and scholarship completion, course registration, record handling and other requirements that support the institution\xe2\x80\x99s enrollment goals.
The Enrollment Specialist (ES) is the frontline representative for CSI and heavy emphasis will be placed on the Specialist having a positive, \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d demeanor that is welcoming and inviting, as well as the ability to perform the detailed technical responsibilities of the position. The ES is responsible to interpret and respond to prospective and current student inquiries in-person, via the telephone or virtual appointments, and electronically regarding admissions, advising, career services, registration, financial aid and scholarships, enrollment status, in addition to adhering to the policies and procedures in place at the college. Individuals in this position gather information from current and prospective students to best understand and evaluate individual circumstances; interpret relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to determine the best course of action.
The ES is responsible to refer students to the appropriate department(s) for additional assistance, as necessary. A hallmark of this position is providing comprehensive and exceptional customer service in a challenging and fast-paced environment. ES\xe2\x80\x99s must have a strong work ethic at an assigned workstation or office within the One Stop Enrollment Services location and may be required to work extended hours to accommodate students, schedules, and workflow needs. ES\xe2\x80\x99s regularly answer general telephone inquiries and student outreach contacts. Additionally, the ES\xe2\x80\x99s may be responsible for supporting students at the various on and off-campus locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
  • This position is responsible for tracking and understanding the student market in the assigned region, understanding educational systems, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of CSI programs, degrees, admissions requirements, and institutional data points as well as an understanding of enrollment cycles.
  • Provides admissions, advising, career services, financial aid and scholarships, registration, and general information to current and prospective students, as well as the public.
  • Provides guidance to other CSI staff, students and their families regarding financial aid, scholarships, records, advising and admissions requirements and assist students in reaching their educational goals.
  • Good knowledge of a student centered/customer service-oriented philosophy.
  • Ability to learn admissions and financial aid requirements and deadlines for high school and transfer students.
  • Serves as a key staff member during the student registration process.
  • Completes cashiering functions.
  • Data entry, report production, and student records creation.
  • Student Photo ID Card issuance.
  • Responsible for accurate and efficient document processing, review, and auditing.
  • Works to resolve issues while serving as a liaison between the student and other departments, explains and administers institution policies.
  • Maintains student records including class registration, name changes, forms intake, and other miscellaneous information or documents.
  • Provides positive, timely, and responsive action to students, staff, faculty, and third parties.
  • Assists with creating and providing professional development and training opportunities for Student Access team.
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Special projects and student outreach (student contact calls) efforts
  • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
  • Early evening and weekend hours may be required.
  • Modest local travel between campus locations may be required.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude are imperative for the ES role.
  • Conveys by word and action the values expected by CSI.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • One or more years of experience in any of the following capacities: professional higher education positions in student services related functions, call center experience, high school college and career advising, student worker/work study/ambassador on a college campus, customer service positions.
  • Ability to compile and analyze information and data for reporting.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Operating Systems preferred.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Must be able to travel to different CSI locations throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Experience in recruiting, public relations, sales, marketing, or related field
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
