Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Teach various aspects of the English language, including grammar, composition, literature, and reading comprehension. Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Manage classroom behavior and create a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all students. Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in teaching. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. Provide support in library services to encourage students' independent reading habits. Incorporate elements of journalism into lessons to enhance students' writing skills. Participate in school events and contribute to the overall educational community.

Skills

Strong organizational skills to manage lesson planning and classroom activities effectively. Proficiency in behavior management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment. Ability to write clearly and effectively for various purposes, including lesson materials and student feedback. Experience in education administration is beneficial for understanding school operations. Knowledge of copy editing principles to assist students in refining their writing skills. Familiarity with curriculum development processes to contribute meaningfully to program enhancements. Basic understanding of math concepts may be advantageous for interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
