Job Description

The ELL Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality contextualized English language instruction tailored to the needs of adult learners in the workplace. This role requires flexibility, cultural awareness, and a commitment to learner-centered teaching. Instructors collaborate with program staff, employers, and learners to ensure a quality curriculum plan and a positive classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

Developing a curriculum specifically tailored to individual employer partners and their staff who encompass various English levels. Assess learners' skills and progress using program tools and provide feedback to both learners and program coordinators. Integrate workplace-specific vocabulary and scenarios to strengthen communication skills relevant to learners' jobs. Create a supportive, respectful classroom environment that fosters participation, confidence, and skill-building. Track attendance, learner progress, and submit required reports/documentation on time. Collaborate with Employer Engagement staff to ensure program quality and alignment with employer needs.
