This position provides direction and is responsible for providing the automated test support for Engineering and contract manufacturing departments of BK Technologies. Automated Align and Final Test software and system integration for LMR portable and mobile products will be designed from the use of MPS (minimum performance standards), TIA Standards, and technical design documents. This position will regularly interface with Engineering R & D department, Florida/Sunrise Engineering Support department, Florida Manufacturing department, and the contract manufacturer to support product transition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet all of the Technician III requirements plus demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot any product to component level
Demonstrate some circuit analysis capabilities and be able to assist the Engineers in resolving production failures as well as pilot run debugging
Experience in RF, digital and analog circuitry
Be familiar with EIA/TIA and MPS test methods
Must be able to solder per company guidelines
Must be able to assemble and debug prototype assemblies
Must be able to execute formal software test-plans and take initiative in spotting subnormal radio behavior whether or not it is addressed in the test-plan
Able to assist design engineers in component selection
Familiar with Bill-of-Materials structures and Engineering Change notice processes

Requirements:
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient with Oscilloscope, Communication Test Set, Signal Generator, Modulation Analyzer, Audio Analyzer, VOM and Spectrum Analyzer
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office required
Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
Good analytical skills
Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Confidentiality and time management
Qualifications:
Education: ASEE or ASEET degree and/or equivalent experience
Experience: minimum three years' experience as RF technician
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Work typically takes place in a normal production environment requiring: walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, hearing and
o Handling - test equipment, large/small tool, radios, parts, keyboard manipulation
o Sitting - 8 hours per day
o Talking - communicate troubleshooting problems
o Vision - ability to focus on monitors, test equipment and work with the aid of a microscope
o Lifting - 0-40 pounds
Operate a PC and other office equipment
Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
Environmental conditions: noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals
