THE POSITION:
AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Technician.
Incumbents in this position will provide support to our Manufacturing Engineers by performing a variety of hands-on equipment activities including testing, equipment operation, and preliminary analysis.
The ability to perform test procedures, define testing methods, accurately track numerical/graphical data, and cohesively report testing output is key to success in this role.
Experience utilizing a variety of hand tools, programmed tools, and scanner systems is essential to this role.
Experience monitoring system statistical control (SPC) output and articulate findings in the support of root cause analysis and the elimination of production issues is ideal.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to record detailed observations and maintain records
Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment, measurement devices, mechanical alignment and instrumentation
Proven ability to follow detailed directions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
Prior experience preforming equipment testing
Proven experience generating testing results and documentation
Working knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Able to understand blueprints and schematics
Basic knowledge of GD&T
Experience updating testing methods
Experience with statistical analysis
Experience performing time studies
Working knowledge of Auto CAD and/or Solid Works
