The Opportunity AirReps, a member of Daikin Industries is seeking a professional, skilled individual to join our Engineering department at a Project Manager. The Engineer Project Manager supports our Account Executives in the Pacific Northwest. This position will be dedicated to one or two customer accounts and assist with equipment selection, system design, technical support, documentation & costing across all AirReps product offerings. When projects are awarded, the PM will assist with the submission, order and delivery of equipment. The PE will also manage, plan and coordinate activities of projects to ensure goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. Responsibilities

  • HVAC systems design and application of our manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s product lines
  • Problem solving using basic mechanical engineering principles & equations
  • Troubleshooting to help solve field problems
  • Equipment selection using software & pricing programs
  • Thorough understanding of local & national codes/standards that apply to our industry & affect our equipment
  • Understanding & staying up on industry trends as it relates to systems & equipment we sell
  • Sales support, including giving general & job specific meetings with clients
  • Design support to include: accommodating all customer design criteria, trade coordination/fitment, budget pricing, energy analysis & life cycle costing
  • Uses project plans and specifications for submittal preparation.
  • Submittal generation and gathering installation, operation and maintenance manuals, as
  • Field troubleshooting and technical support and assisting with coordinating technicians when necessary.
  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of
  • Take part in jobsite, or office mtgs, w/ customers to discuss equipment & solutions to problems
  • Prepare project reports for management, client, or
  • Confers with project personnel/contractor to provide technical advice and resolve
  • Maintain project specific records and details in an organized fashion for complex projects.
  • Record and track order acknowledgement.
  • Assist with startup preparations and onsite technical requested
  • Resolve discrepancies in job progression to ensure client
  • Pull Job Status Detail reports to determine job and billing
Qualifications
  • Self starter \xe2\x80\x93 Training will be provided but self learning is imperative
  • Ability to excel in a fast pace, high expectation - high reward environment
  • Effective organizational and time management skills; prioritizing and multi-tasking is critical for success
  • Motivated by problem solving and challenges
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Ability to retain information and learn quickly
  • Ability to form equations to solve engineering & science problems
  • Sound fundamentals in science & math
  • Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other Office Suite programs
  • Ability to work in selection software & skilled with the internet
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam is a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills and ability to write technical responses; attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate answers/solutions to customers is a must
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization
  • 1-5 years of previous work experience in project engineering, project management or similar field
  • Bachelor\'s of Science degree (B S) in engineering (mechanical preferred)
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits:
