This position can be based in New Orleans, LA, or Fort Laudable, FL.





The Engineering Manager leads Resolve Marine's global engineering function, overseeing technical planning, engineering deliverables, and professional development for the company's Naval Architects and Junior Salvage Engineers. This role provides engineering oversight for emergency response, salvage, wreck removal, bid development, and fleet support operations.



The Engineering Manager will be a degreed Naval Architect with a Professional Engineer license. The Engineering Manager ensures that all engineering output meets regulatory, class, and client requirements; maintains technical excellence; supports safe operations; and fosters innovation across Resolve's project portfolio.



Position Responsibilities:





Manage Resolve's staff of Naval Architects and Junior Salvage Engineers. Supervise and mentor Resolve's naval architects, ensuring professional development and technical competency. Allocate resources and manage engineering workload across multiple global projects. Provide support to the operations teams (Projects, Bids, ER, MSC, SRD, etc.) as needed, including (but not limited to) the development of written technical plans, drawings and diagrams to support operations, develop initial emergency response plans, towing plans and calculations, rigging design and vessel connections, vessel arrangements, and site plans. Develop 3D hull models for use in stability software for damage stability, salvage and wreck removal operations. Support various emergency response, salvage and wreck removal jobs by developing and / or overseeing (review and approval) the engineering plans, written technical plans, arrangements / drawings, engineering calculations, etc. to the satisfaction of the client and appropriate authorities. Work with classification societies and flag states regarding maintenance and modifications to Resolve's own floating assets. Develop drawings and / or plans for modifications to Resolve's own floating assets. Maintain engineering reports and plans developed for Resolve's emergency response, salvage and wreck removal projects. Develop design calculations and technical reports for structural design and vessel modifications. Develop structural design using first principle and advanced analysis calculations. Develop detail design / drafting in CAD format for vessel modifications, vessel repairs, outfitting and site plans. Other duties as assigned.

Undergraduate degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Ocean Engineering (Master's preferred) Minimum 10 years of experience in naval architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Previous responsibilities in oversight / review of Naval Architecture work product Professional Engineer (PE) License


Computer Skills:


Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD software Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project Proficient in hydrostatic calculations including the development of 3D hull models for using stability software (experience with GHS software preferred) Ability to work in the US Pre-employment drug testing is also pre-requisite of employment

Travel Requirement:





Up to 10% travel is required. If additional, travel is required beyond the specified amount, based on the operational demand, you will be notified accordingly so arrangements can be made.
