Salary Range: $110,000 to 130,000/Year

Position Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead and develop the engineering department to drive innovation, process efficiency, and operational excellence in a durable goods manufacturing environment. This role oversees cross-functional engineering teams--including product engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, and project engineering--to support high-quality production and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will align engineering initiatives with business objectives, optimize process control systems, strengthen energy management practices, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in improving product reliability, reducing operational costs, and advancing sustainable manufacturing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting product, manufacturing, process, and project engineering. Develop and implement engineering strategies that enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and energy performance. Oversee process control systems and electrical engineering activities to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations. Partner with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to support seamless daily operations and continuous improvement efforts. Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. Drive energy management initiatives focused on reducing waste, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting sustainability goals. Analyze engineering data, performance metrics, and process trends to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction. Review, approve, and manage capital projects aligned with operational needs and long-term plant objectives. Contribute to productivity improvements and support profit commitments in accordance with mid-term business plans. Spend 70% or more of work time on the production floor in a hot environment and while wearing required PPE. Work a flexible schedule as needed, including days, nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Engineering

(Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline).

7+ years of engineering experience

in durable goods manufacturing, including

3+ years in a leadership or management role

. Proven experience in engineering management, project engineering, and process control. Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles and energy management practices. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage complex technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in

Engineering Management

or a related field. Professional Engineering (

PE

) license or equivalent credential. Experience with

Lean Manufacturing

,

Six Sigma

, or similar continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with advanced process control systems and automation technologies. Background in durable goods manufacturing with a focus on sustainability initiatives.
