The Opportunity:




Elemental LED is a leading U.S. based engineering and technology company that creates, develops, manufactures, markets and sells innovative, configured and integrated LED lighting solutions. The Engineering Lab Technician provides critical engineering support for Elemental LED's award-winning portfolio of lighting products, dimmers, and drivers. The position primarily involves a mix of electrical, mechanical, and photometric testing utilizing computer-controlled instrumentation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



Assembly and testing of LED-based lighting systems including linear light strips, power supplies, lighting controllers, channels, lenses, connectors, and junction boxes Use lab equipment including computers, digital oscilloscopes, precision meters, and power supplies required to perform testing duties Characterize and understand electrical input and output relationships between controllers, driver/power supplies, and LED lighting products Prepare equipment and lighting system components for testing Perform functional and photometric/radiometric tests of LED-based lighting systems Perform basic thermal testing of Lighting systems and components Record testing data and complete Test Reports


Qualifications

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE



Associate's degree, with an emphasis in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with an electronics background, or related experience Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company including Engineering, Marketing, and Sales Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook) Knowledge of analog, digital, and high-voltage circuitry
