Capitol Aggregates is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Aggregates Division. Under the supervision of the Engineer or Engineering Manager, this role will assist with planning, designing, construction, and maintenance projects across our facilities. The position provides hands-on experience in engineering practices while supporting continuous improvement, quality, and safety.



What You'll Do


------------------


Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards, reporting findings to the Engineer. Assist in developing process improvements and enhancements to maximize production and quality. Compile and analyze operational and test data to help establish performance standards for new or modified equipment and processes. Support the maintenance of Capitol Aggregates' equipment manuals and drawing libraries. Maintain a safe, clean work area while following all company safety policies, rules, and MSHA regulations.

What You'll Bring

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (or other CAD-based software). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly complete assignments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating as part of a team. Flexibility and effective time management in a dynamic work environment.

Education & Experience

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering. Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction of buildings or industrial structures.
